Orlando Solar Bears | Affiliations & Alumni

The Solar Bears entered into a three-year affiliation agreement with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL prior to the 2018-19 season. The affiliation was extended an additional two seasons on July 19, 2021.

Entering the 2022-23 season, the Solar Bears have received 18 players under NHL contract to Tampa Bay since the beginning of the affiliation, along with eight additional players under American Hockey League contracts with the Syracuse Crunch. Furthermore, nine Solar Bears players have received AHL Professional Tryout Agreements from Syracuse, while two players have earned AHL contracts with the Crunch.
