Duluth, GA - A goal scored 5:31 into the first period proved to
be the game-winner as the Solar Bears fell 1-0 to the
Gladiators at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Thanksgiving
night.

The Gladiators got out to a strong start, notching the game's
first goal 5:31 into the contest. F Tyler Murovich skated up
the right wing and found D Cody Brookwell, who found a shooting
lane through some traffic and put the puck in the back of the
net. It was the lone goal of the opening frame.
Brookwell's first period goal would prove to be the lone goal
scored in the game, as Orlando G Hannu Toivonen and Gwinnett
netminder Mike Lee traded saves for the remainder of the
contest. Toivonen would end the game with 25 saves on 26 shots,
while Lee stopped all 22 shots he faced.
Three Stars: 1. M. Lee (GWT); 2. C. Brookwell
(GWT); 3. K. Lawson (GWT)
