Business development executive Jason Siegel has enjoyed 23 years of success and accomplishments in major and minor league professional sports and intercollegiate athletics.
Rooted in Hockey
Although Siegel has invested his life in a variety of sports, hockey rises to the top in his enthusiasm and experience.
New Jersey Devils (2000-07). Siegel served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Community Development for the New Jersey Devils and was responsible for strategic and creative planning, forecasts, budgets, award-winning advertising campaigns and ticket sales, advertising, new media, community development, game night and broadcast operations, and merchandise.
East Coast Hockey League (1997-2000). Under his leadership as Vice President of Marketing and Sales, the league experienced one of its largest four-year periods of growth. He directed the league's corporate sponsorship, marketing, team services, broadcast, licensing, as well as merchandise and branding efforts, while assisting with the development of new franchises and construction of more than ten new arenas.
Early Hockey Executive Experience (1990-97). Siegel served as Vice President of the Phoenix Roadrunners (LA Kings affiliate); Director of Licensing for the relocated Dallas Stars (from Minnesota); and Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Binghamton Rangers (NY Rangers affiliate).
Hockey Internships (1987-90). Siegel's career in sports began as a sophomore at Binghamton University, working in the Athletics department and as a sports marketing intern for the Binghamton Whalers (Hartford Whalers affiliate) and the American Hockey League from 1987 to 1990.
Siegel recently completed his fourth year as Senior Associate Athletic Director at his alma mater, Binghamton University, where he was co-Executive Director of the department's Athletics Board.
Siegel led the school into its second decade as a Division I "mid-major" and can count several achievements while at the University, including the program's first NCAA Men's Basketball tournament in 2009, first College World Series regional tournament in 2009, numerous conference championships, and the first school National Champion in 2007.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jason and his wife, Lisa, are raising their niece, Stephanie (10).
Bob Ohrablo, Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer, Orlando Solar Bears
With more than 27 years of experience, Ohrablo has worked with five professional hockey teams: Spruce Pine, NC (Atlantic Coast Hockey League); Binghamton and Syracuse, NY (American Hockey League); Phoenix, AZ (International Hockey League) and the NHL's Florida Panthers. Ohrablo has served as the American Hockey League's Vice President of Marketing.
His roles with these teams involved crucial revenue producing functions including management of ticket sales and sponsorship sales, lease negotiations, management of full business operations and marketing/promotions. In Binghamton and Phoenix, Ohrablo pulled teams that were having financial hardships into the black and in Syracuse had full control of all business operations, including management of a $2 million dollar plus budget.
As President of Bold Marketing, LLC Ohrablo co-produced and marketed two successful Bermuda Music Festivals and directed the revenue efforts (ticket sales and sponsorship) of Howard Baldwin’s Whalers Sports and Entertainment (operators of the AHL’s CT Whale and the Harvest-Properties.com Whale Bowl this February at Hartford’s Rentschler Field). In this role, despite taking over the team two weeks before Opening Night, Ohrablo led an increase of more than 3,000 in average attendance and a net increase of more than $600,000 in sponsorship.
